Matty is part of an elite team the U14 Logan Thunder Boys and have achieved an incredible milestone, finishing 1st in Queensland at the recent State Championships. Going 28 Games Undefeated!!! Their outstanding performance has earned them the opportunity to represent the City of Logan and compete on the national stage at the 2025 Australian Club Championships in Perth, Western Australia in September 2025.

​This prestigious tournament brings together the top junior basketball teams from across the country, giving players the chance to test themselves against the best in Australia!

​Attending this tournament however, involves a significant financial commitment. With travel costs, accommodation, uniforms, and tournament fees quickly adding up it can make it really difficult to make sure we get Matty to Perth to be apart of this amazing experience.

Matty has been playing Basketball for a few years and in that time achieved amazing things!! ​

Over the past few years, he has had the incredible opportunity to compete at various levels, and listed below are just a few highlight of his accomplishments:

- **Under 12 State Championships MVP**: He was honored to be recognized as the Most Valuable Player in this highly competitive tournament, showcasing his dedication and skills on the field.

- **Silver Medalist at the School Sports Olympics (Under 12 Nationals)**: Competing against the best teams in the nation was a thrilling experience, and winning a silver medal was a testament of hard work

- **28 Games Undefeated Season (Under 14, 2025)**: This season was remarkable as his team secured the title of State Champions, demonstrating their unity and determination.

- **BOSBL All Schools Team**: Being selected for this prestigious team allowed him to represent my school and compete against top-tier athletes.

- **Gold Medal at QLD Schools State Championships**: This victory was a highlight and created amazing opportunities for his future and opened doors that otherwise would be impossible.

These are only a few in a long list of achievements and the start of so much more!
