ABOUT Max Paul

About Me:


Hi, my name is Max, and I compete in the Men's Olympic Skiff class (double-handed). I am the current Australian 49er National Champion and have been a national squad member of the Australian Sailing Team since 2020.


With the Olympic Games less than 3 years away my 2025-2026 campaign will focus on gaining more racing experience at major events including Sailing World Cup events, European Championships and World Championships. These events are pivotal in continuing my development towards winning a gold medal in 2028.

  • Career best 49er Sailing World Ranking: #2
  • Career best 49er Sailing World Cup Placing: 2nd
  • 2022 U23 49er World Championship Silver Medalist
