Hi My name is Maya Murphy, and I am incredibly proud to have been selected to represent Australia at the ICF Junior World Kayaking Marathon Championships in Gyor, Hungary, from September 4th-7th, 2025.

This is an amazing opportunity to compete on the world stage alongside the best junior paddlers from around the globe. This will be my second time competing on the world stage, this year I will be racing my K1 in the long course 18km event.

This has been a dream of mine for many years, and it's the result of countless hours of hard work, dedication and sacrifice. I am extremely grateful to my coaches Wen and De Tan who have had the belief in me that this dream was possible and also family and friends who have allowed me to chase my goals and dreams.

Now I need your help to make this dream a reality.

Traveling to an international competition like this comes with significant financial cost, mum and dad have been working late hours and extra shifts to help cover the costs and I would love it if I could help ease some of that pressure for them.

Flights, Accommodation, Equipment Hire, Accreditation and other expenses quickly add up. I'm fundraising to cover these costs and would be grateful for any financial support you can offer.
