ABOUT Melbourne City

In 2026, City launched its Girls Academy, marking another milestone in the Club’s commitment to developing elite female talent. For the first time, City fielded squads in the top-tier NPLW competition as well as the NPLW U20’s, providing a clear pathway for young women to progress within our football programs.

The Club is continuing to build the resourcing to support our Girls Academy and your tax-deductible donation – via our partnership with Australian Sports Foundation – will directly contribute to the continued development and enhancement of our existing City Football Academy facilities, along with assisting our coaching and welfare services, to support and develop our Girls Academy, developing the next generation of Melbourne City FC women's players and ultimately, our national team Matilda's representatives.
