    ABOUT Miah Roberts

    INVERLOCH, VIC

Swimming makes me feel alive as soon as I get in. In the early mornings I look forward to pushing myself and getting the most out of my training. It allows me to clear my mind and focus on my stroke, breathing and speed.

I want swimming to take me somewhere bigger than just myself, I want to be a part of teams. Yes, the Olympics. My dedication, hard work, belief and pushing myself beyond to achieve my ambitious goals are the drivers for success.

My club is South Gippsland Bass Swimming Club and I am part of the National Squad. I spend many hours every week in the pool and gym but also like to spend time with family, friends and my dog. Not to mention school work!

In the 2025/2026 swimming season, I competed at the Australian Age Championships, Swimming Victoria short course and long course championships, Gippsland Championships and multiple local meets. With a season high finishing in the Top 10 at the 2026 Australian Age Championships.

In the 2026/2027 season which has just begun, I have been selected to compete for TeamVic at the 2026 Australian School Sport Championships. This is the third year in a row that I have had the opportunity to swim against other school students from across Australia. And like in past years, this year hope to make finals, meet new friends from across the country and represent Victoria with pride.

All of these competitions require a monetary outlay for meet entry fees, travel costs, uniforms, swimming suits and equipment and accomodation, total amounts I can't comprehend.

I have created this fundraising page to help; me & my parents. Fundraising reduces the load financially and allows the continued support of my swimming. My parents have and continue to, encourage me in every step of my journey.
