ABOUT Mimi Goyette
Most athletes slow down with age — I chose to chase world championships instead.
My Story
I proudly represent Australia on the world stage as an Australian OCR and Ninja Master athlete.
My journey began in December 2019 when I entered my first Ninja competition. What started as a personal challenge quickly became a life-changing pursuit of excellence.
In 2023, I discovered OCR and immediately fell in love with the intensity, challenge, and community of the sport.
Since then, I have dedicated myself to competing at the highest international level while balancing family, coaching, two jobs, training, recovery, travel, and the financial realities of self-funded sport.
Behind every podium finish are early mornings, financial pressure, and a consistent commitment to training, recovery, and showing up.
As a female Master athlete, I am determined to prove that age does not define ambition, capability, or the courage to pursue extraordinary dreams.
International Career Highlights
- 3x Gold Medalist at Ninja World Championships
- Multiple international gold and silver medals across Ninja and OCR
- 3x Australian World Championship Representative
- 2024 UIPM World Cup Silver Medalist (100m)
- 2025 World Obstacles OCR World Championships Bronze Medalist (100m)
- 2025 World Obstacles OCR World Championships 6th Place (3km)
- 2024 National OCR Champion
My international success in Ninja laid the foundation for my transition into OCR, where I now proudly continue to represent Australia on the world stage.
Why Now Matters
My next major goal is competing at the 2026 UIPM OCR World Championships in Beijing, China.
This is a critical step in continuing my international career, representing Australia, and pursuing my long-term dream of competing at the highest level possible.
As a female Master athlete, mother, and high-performance competitor, I am committed to proving that resilience, ambition, and world-class performance do not have an age limit.
Your support helps back not only an Australian athlete, but also female strength, perseverance, and the pursuit of extraordinary goals at any stage of life.
Why Your Support Matters
Competing internationally is entirely self-funded, and every season comes with significant costs.
Your support helps cover essential expenses such as:
- International travel and flights: $6,000
- Accommodation: $2,000
- Competition fees and athlete registration: $2500
- Coaching, recovery, nutrition and training: $6000
Every contribution helps me continue training, competing, and proudly representing Australia on the world stage.
Every contribution directly supports my ability to compete, represent Australia, and continue progressing in my sport.
If you believe in Aussie grit, resilience, and supporting athletes who continue to break barriers, I would be incredibly grateful for your support.
Beyond Competition
Outside of racing, I am a proud mother, aerial circus coach, mentor, referee, and passionate advocate for growing OCR and Ninja in Australia.
Giving back to the sport and community that has supported me is central to who I am.
This journey is bigger than medals — it’s about resilience, leadership, community, and showing others what is possible.
Be Part of My Journey
Whether through donating, sharing, or sponsorship, your support directly fuels my road to Beijing and beyond.
You are backing an Australian Master athlete, female competitor, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
