Hi, my name is Mitch Besse, and I’ve proudly dedicated the past 15 years of my life to playing the sport I love—Gridiron.

From grassroots beginnings to representing Queensland at the state level, and the incredible honour of playing for Australia at the 2015 IFAF World Cup, I’ve committed myself fully to this sport and the values it represents: discipline, teamwork, and national pride.

I’m proud to share that I’ve once again been selected to represent Australia, this time in our upcoming international game against New Zealand.

However, like many elite amateur athletes in Australia, this opportunity is entirely self-funded. That means covering travel, uniforms, accommodation, and training costs—all while balancing work and family life.
