I’m Mitchell Nicholson, the highest-capped player in Hockey One history with 31 league appearances. We have finished in the top 3 every season and became the Hockey One champions in 2023. I recently made my debut for the Kookaburras at the beginning of 2025, becoming Kookaburra #448! I’ve been in the national development squad since 2021 and have been goalkeeping since I was 10 years old. Playing at this level has always been the dream. Now, I’m working hard to turn that dream into a long-term reality by securing a permanent spot in the Kookaburras squad in 2026.

Playing hockey at an elite level comes with a cost. Time off work and away from family for travel, training, recovery, and gear is all out-of-pocket. I’m raising funds to help offset these expenses so I can continue competing at the highest level and focus on performing at my best.
