When I was diagnosed with Stargardt's disease at age 12, it was a massive shock. However, I was determined to turn the challenge of going blind into something positive. Running had always been my passion, but when I discovered triathlons, everything clicked. It was through this sport that I met Sam, a dedicated local triathlete. Sam has generously invested his time and energy into helping us achieve our shared dream: competing in the Paralympics. To qualify, we must travel to at least three international races per year to earn points and boost our world ranking. Navigating international travel with a guide and bulky equipment, like our tandem bike, presents a massive financial hurdle.
