ABOUT Molly Williamson
Starting her chosen sport of BMX racing at the age of 4, Molly enjoys giving back to the next generation of riders. Having tasted success at an early age due to her strength and determination, navigating the subsequent years while developing physically was a challenge. Her drive through perseverance, desire and hunger to be the best she can, is now paying dividends in her success now. Physically developing through her teenage years continues to have its challenges however navigating this at the adversity faced continues to mould Mollys aspersions as an athlete for the future. Sharing with others these hurdles and strategies to overcome them will hopefully inspire and encourage the next generations of athletes. These also transfer to people in all walks of life in ways they can take something from her journey.
Now focused on representing Australia in BMX racing at the 2032 Olympic Games in her home city of Brisbane, she is committed to reaching the highest level of performance in her sport. With the dedication required for elite BMX—where specialised training, coaching, and competition are essential—she continues to push herself to improve every day.
However, progressing to an Olympic level comes with significant financial demands, including the cost of professional training programs, travel to national and international competitions, entry fees, and high-quality equipment and protective apparel . Support and funding are crucial to help her access these opportunities and compete against the best riders.
With the right backing, she aims to proudly represent Australia on the world stage, inspire others, and achieve her full potential in BMX racing.
