ABOUT Motorsport Australia Foundation
Established in 2026, the Foundation raises funds for strategic initiatives that support development at every level of the sport, from grassroots volunteers to national participation programs.
Our mission is to invest in people, training, and infrastructure to ensure motorsport remains safe, fair and fun for everyone.
Motorsport Australia is the national governing body for four-wheeled motorsport in Australia.
A non-profit member organisation recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) as Australia’s National Sporting Authority (ASN), Motorsport Australia upholds international standards while overseeing the safe and fair conduct of motorsport at all levels of the sport, from grassroots events to the Australian Grand Prix.
Motorsport Australia is also recognised by the Commonwealth Government as the National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for motorsport through the Australian Sports Commission.
Founded in 1953 as the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS), the organisation adopted the Motorsport Australia name in 2020 to better reflect its role as the peak body for the sport.
Today, it continues to work with more than 120 ASNs worldwide to deliver the FIA’s mission to promote and regulate motorsport in a safe, sustainable and inclusive manner.
