    ABOUT Myroslava MOZGHOVA

    Brisbane, QLD

    My name is Myra, I’m 15 years old, and I am seeking support for my first international season representing Australia in Senior Group rhythmic gymnastics in 2026.

    My journey began in Ukraine when I was five years old. I was a little girl captivated by ribbons, music, and sparkling leotards β€” but what truly began that day was a foundation of discipline, artistry, and resilience. In 2017, my life changed when my family moved to Australia. I left behind familiar gyms, coaches, friends, and language β€” but I carried something with me: my dream.

    Gymnastics became more than a sport. It became the bridge between two worlds. It helped me find belonging in a new country. It gave me confidence when everything around me felt unfamiliar. It connected my early beginnings to my Australian future.

    Today, when I wear the green and gold, I do so with deep gratitude β€” representing Australia while honouring the strength, culture, and foundations that began in my early childhood.

    Gymnastics is not just an activity for me β€” it is my lifestyle. I train 30 hours a week, six days a week, alongside approximately 35 hours of Year 10 studies. Balancing elite sport and academics requires sacrifice, resilience, and discipline.

    For many years, my family has privately funded this journey. In Australia, rhythmic gymnastics at the elite level is not government funded. Every training session, competition, leotard, apparatus, travel expense, and coaching cost is covered by individual families. Sustaining this level of commitment over many years is both emotionally and financially challenging.

    In 2026, I stepped into Senior International as part of Australia’s Senior International Group β€” my first opportunity to compete internationally for Australia- a milestone I have worked toward for years.

    Following our domestic selection events, our team has been selected to compete at:

    * Aphrodite Cup – Greece

    * Uzbekistan World Cup

    * Thiais Grand Prix – France

    My long-term goal is to help Australia remain competitive internationally and to build toward qualification pathways leading to the 2028 Summer Olympics. International exposure now is an essential step in that Olympic journey.

    But this journey is about more than medals. When young children see athletes representing Australia β€” especially those who have built their lives across cultures β€” it expands their vision of what is possible. It shows that diverse backgrounds strengthen Australian Sport. It shows that dreams can cross borders.

    To make this journey possible, I am seeking supporters to stand with me as I represent Australia on the international stage. I hope to raise $15,000 to support my 2026 international season and preparation. Your support contributes toward:

    * International flights and travel

    * Accommodation and meals

    * Competition entry fees

    * Coaching and team travel expenses

    * Training camps and preparation

    * Leotards and apparatus

    * Preparation and development within the 2028 Olympic cycle

    When I step onto the international floor in green and gold, I carry years of dedication, sacrifice and quiet determination behind me. I carry the foundation that shaped me as a young gymnast, and the opportunity Australia has given me to grow, compete and belong.

    Supporting me is not just helping fund a season β€” it is investing in the development of an Australian athlete striving to compete with pride, discipline and heart on the world stage.πŸ’šπŸ’›
