I am Natalie, a Para-Taekwondo athlete working towards representing Australia in Poomsae. I am Autistic Level 2, have a cognitive disability and ADHD, and Taekwondo has given me the opportunity to show that people with unseen disabilities are capable of achieving great things through sport.

Like any athlete pursuing high-level competition, I train hard and dedicate myself to continual improvement. To achieve my goals, I need support for specialised training, competitions, travel, coaching and ongoing athlete development. As I require a carer to travel with me, the costs of competing are significantly higher.

Through Para-Taekwondo, I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves, challenge perceptions around disability, and encourage greater inclusion in sport. Taekwondo has become more than a sport to me. It is confidence, discipline, community and purpose.
