ABOUT Nerimbera Football Club
Nerimbera Football Club is raising funds to upgrade and improve our community football facilities so we can provide a safer, more welcoming and more accessible environment for every player and family. Our priorities include improving playing surfaces, upgrading essential infrastructure, enhancing safety and accessibility, and creating spaces that better support junior development, girls’ football and inclusive programs. These upgrades will help us meet growing community demand, support year‑round participation and ensure our 114‑year‑old club can continue serving the region for generations to come.
We care deeply about this project because every child deserves the chance to play sport without barriers. Football at Nerimbera is more than a game — it’s a pathway to healthier lifestyles, stronger social connections and a sense of belonging. As a volunteer‑run club, we see firsthand how participation builds confidence, resilience and community pride. Improving our facilities means more kids on the field, more families engaged, and a safer, more inclusive environment for everyone, including girls, young people from diverse backgrounds and children with disabilities.
To make this happen, we are taking a practical, community‑driven and sustainable approach. Our volunteers will lead planning and coordination, supported by partnerships with local businesses and trades to reduce costs and maximise impact. We will combine grant funding with community fundraising to deliver staged improvements that provide immediate benefits while building toward long‑term goals. Every dollar raised goes directly into improving the facilities that our players, families and volunteers rely on.
Nerimbera Football Club is one of Central Queensland’s oldest and most respected community sporting organisations, proudly established in 1910. For more than a century, we have provided a safe, welcoming and family‑focused place for people of all ages to play football, stay active and connect with their community. Entirely volunteer‑run, we are committed to affordability, accessibility and inclusion, offering programs that support junior development, girls’ football, inclusive activities and community events that strengthen wellbeing across the region. We honour our long history while building positive pathways for the next generation of players, coaches and volunteers.
