ABOUT Newtown City Hockey Club
Newtown City Hockey Club is one of the largest hockey clubs in Geelong. The club has a membership of 180+ with a broad range of ages (3 to 70+) and a fantastic gender equity profile. The club provides the opportunity for players with all levels of experience to play an active and enjoyable team sport.
Newtown City Hockey Club is raising funds to maintain and improve playing facilities and pavilion amenities at King Lloyd Reserve for the benefit of our members.
Providing quality field surfaces to play and train on encourages more children and adults to participate in our sport and to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
Providing more social amenities in the pavilion leads to improved opportunities for social connection and promotes a sense of belonging within the club and the hockey community.
The club conducts fundraising events each year which also help to maintain reasonable participation costs for members. Donations through the Australian Sports Foundation are greatly appreciated to support these activities.
