I made my debut for the Aussie Spirit at the end of 2025 against Chinese Taipei, and earlier this year I competed in the Softball Australia Cup against Japan and New Zealand. Now, I'm heading to Ogaki City with the Futures team to face Japanese university and professional JD League teams - top tier opponents who will challenge me at every level.

This tour is a critical step in my development as I work towards selection for the 2027 World Cup Finals and ultimately, the chance to represent Australia at the LA 2028 Olympics. Facing elite international opponents builds the game sense, adaptability, and mental toughness that domestic competition alone can't replicate.

Along my journey this year, I've also been investing back into the sport - helping to build Queensland's left-handed slapping cohort and supporting junior players with the same guidance I was lucky to receive growing up. Softball gave me so much, and I want to make sure the next generation has those same opportunities.

The total cost of the tour is over $6,000. Like many softball athletes on this pathway, I'm balancing training with work and other commitments, and these costs add up quickly.
