Hi, I’m Nikolas, a 15-year-old taekwondo athlete, and I’ve been selected to represent Australia in green and gold at the 2026 Junior World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan! 

My taekwondo journey began at just four years old, and I started competitive sparring at ten. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of winning multiple state titles, standing on national podiums, and competing against some of the best athletes in Australia and overseas.

These experiences have not only shaped me as a fighter but also taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of hard work. 

2026 is shaping up to be an incredible year as I’ll be competing at major events like the Oceania Championships, Australian Open, Presidents Cup, Chuncheon Open and National Championships. I’ll also attend high-performance pathway training camps to continue developing my skills, gain experience, and learn from some of the best in the sport. 

Qualifying for the Junior World Championships has always been a dream, and after years of dedication, late nights, setbacks, and countless hours of training, that dream is now a reality. Competing on the world stage is an amazing honour, but it comes with significant costs — travel, accommodation, training, competition fees, and uniforms. As a 15-year-old chasing a lifelong dream I’m funding these trips myself, and I’m seeking support to make this opportunity possible.
