We’re raising funds to build a new undercover extension to “The Hut” at Cohuna Recreation Reserve and turn it into a true multi-purpose facility for the whole community.

This project is being fully funded and delivered by the Nondies Cohuna Cricket Club, and once complete, the facility will be free for everyone to use.

Right now, The Hut mainly supports cricket and has clear limits. It lacks undercover space, running water, heating and cooling, cooking facilities and basic infrastructure, which stops other sports and groups from using the reserve properly.

This upgrade will support school athletics carnivals, cross country events, football, dog training, show horses and other Show Society events, as well as community meetings, visiting teams and other local groups. A small kids playground will also make the area more family-friendly.

A target of $14,000 will deliver everything needed, including water, heating and cooling, cooking facilities, furniture, lighting, storage and the playground.

All plans, permits and approvals are in place — we’re ready to start.

Any $250+ donors will receive their name or business name on the 'Community Recognition Wall' which will be on the building.

Every contribution helps create a shared community space for Cohuna.
