ABOUT NOOSA DISTRICT RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALL CLUB INC
The Noosa Pirates Rugby League Football Club is one of the largest and most active sporting organisations within the Noosa region.
Help Build the Future of Pirate Park
Upgrade - Essential Facilities for the Noosa Community
For over 50 years, the Noosa Pirates Rugby League Football Club has been at the heart of grassroots sport in the Noosa Shire.
Today, the Pirates support:
- 485+ Junior, Senior, All-abilities & Masters (over 35 social) rugby league players
- 620+ club members
- 1,100+ total participants across all programs
- 60,000+ annual visitors and spectators at Pirate Park
Located in the centre of the Noosa District Sports Complex, Pirate Park is one of the busiest community sporting venues in the region.
In 2025 alone, we proudly:
- Hosted 2,000+ primary and high school students for school gala days and representative games
- Managed and delivered Noosa Oztag, with 40+ teams and 500+ junior participants during the summer season
- Continued growing our junior, female, senior, and all-abilities rugby league programs
But sadly our facilities have not kept pace with our community’s growth.
The Challenge
Despite the size and impact of our club, we currently operate from facilities with:
- Only 2 player change rooms
- Just 1 referee change room
- Limited female amenities
- Inadequate storage and operational space
- Ageing spectator and community facilities
This is no longer sustainable for a club with:
- 100+ female players
- An active all-abilities inclusion side
- Expanding junior and senior participation
Our players, officials, volunteers, and visiting teams deserve facilities that are safe, inclusive, and fit for purpose.
Our Vision
We are working toward a modern, inclusive, multi-use sporting facility that supports the next generation of community sport in Noosa.
Stage 1 – Already Delivered
Thanks to support from Council, Queensland Rugby League, sponsors, members, and our local community, construction is comlete on a:
- 200m² storage and gym facility
- New base for our junior academy and player development programs
Stage 2 – Essential Amenities Upgrade
Now we need your help to deliver the next stage:
- Modern player change rooms
- Compliant referee facilities
- Improved canteen and operational areas
- Better spectator amenities
- Inclusive spaces for female and all-abilities participants
This upgrade will future-proof Pirate Park for the next 20+ years and ensure our facilities match the incredible growth of our community.
