The Northern Rivers, NSW used to have a squash club called the Ballina squash centre which was built in the 1970's and was a thriving part of the Northern Rivers community for five decades. Unfortunately, the building was bought by a developer with the intention to turn it into townhouses and demolished in November 2024. This was a huge loss to the local squash community as this meant no squash courts over the length of 200km between Gold Coast and McLean. In response to this, the Northern Rivers Squash Club Inc was established by the local squash players, which is a not for profit sports club for the community. We have acquired a warehouse on rent and intend to construct two glass squash courts inside it. The construction of Squash courts can take upto 4 weeks and requires skilled tradesmen. This will be a significant cost to the club. We are seeking donations to help us get on our feet and re-establish squash in the Northern Rivers, NSW.
