At just 11 years old, OJ is already making her mark in the fast-paced world of kart racing in Brisbane, Australia.

But OJ is more than just a racer.

From the moment she stepped into the sport, her natural friendliness and polite attitude set her apart. Whether she’s talking with fellow competitors, speaking to families in the paddock, or engaging with officials and volunteers, OJ has a unique ability to connect with people of all ages. It’s this genuine personality that has helped her build her own identity in the karting community — not just as a driver, but as a young leader in the sport.

When she climbs out of the kart, her day is far from over.

You’ll often find OJ walking through the pits with a smile, microphone in hand, interviewing drivers — from first-time racers to seasoned veterans. She shares their stories, celebrates their achievements, and brings people together. For the youngest competitors, she’s a friendly face offering advice, encouragement, and reassurance before they head out on track.

Her passion doesn’t stop there.

OJ has embraced a bigger role in the sport as an ambassador for Ipswich Kart Club and Karting Australia’s Girls Race Too program. She proudly represents the next generation of female racers, helping to break barriers and inspire other girls to step into the driver’s seat and give karting a go.

All of this has built toward an incredible opportunity.

In September, OJ has been invited to compete internationally at the IAME Asia Series Grand Final in Malaysia — a chance to race against top drivers from around the region and showcase her talent on a global stage.

Behind the scenes, however, the journey is a challenging one.

Every race, every event, every opportunity is currently self-funded. Between competing in the Australian Kart Championship, state events, the Ipswich Kart Club Championship, and regional races, the financial demands are significant — and the dream of racing internationally adds another layer of challenge.

But for OJ, it’s simple.

She loves the sport.

She loves the people.

And she’s determined to keep pushing forward.
