    ABOUT Oliver Colthup

Ever since 17-year-old Oliver first learned to ride a bike, he’s been passionate about everything on two wheels. After spending his early years racing gravity enduro, he tried his first Downhill Mountain Bike race in 2021 on a family friend’s bike—and was instantly hooked. Fast forward to today, and Oliver is now a three-time National Champion.

In 2025, Oliver is aiming to take the next big step in his racing career: competing internationally. He plans to travel to Europe and North America to race in the second half of the UCI Downhill World Cup Series and proudly represent Australia at the World Championships in Champéry, Switzerland.

However, the biggest challenge is funding. Unlike Olympic cycling disciplines, Downhill Mountain Biking receives little to no financial support. This means Oliver and his family must cover all travel, accommodation, and competition expenses themselves.

Oliver is working hard to save for this opportunity while balancing a demanding training schedule. He’s also seeking support from the community to help make this dream a reality.

Your support will directly contribute to travel and competition costs for Oliver and his father to attend the following events:

    • UCI World Cup – Haute-Savoie, France
    • UCI World Championships – Champéry, Switzerland
    • UCI World Cup – Lenzerheide, Switzerland
    • US Downhill Open – Killington, Vermont, USA
    • UCI World Cup – Lake Placid, New York, USA
    • UCI World Cup – Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada

Every contribution, big or small, brings Oliver one step closer to the world stage. Thank you for helping him chase his dream.
