WA ILCA coach Oliver Pabbruwe is preparing to support three Perth sailors at the 2026 ILCA 6 Youth World Championships in Aarhus, Denmark this August.

The campaign brings together Jasper Stay, Thomas Cooper and Hugh Healy in a coordinated international campaign built around shared preparation, collaboration and high-quality coaching support.

While the sailors each arrive with strong Australian results and growing international experience, the campaign is equally focused on supporting the coaching environment that underpins long-term athlete development and performance outcomes within WA sailing.

Western Australia has a proud history of producing world-class sailors, but sustained success relies on more than talented athletes alone. It depends on experienced coaches being able to work with sailors in meaningful international environments, building knowledge, leadership and capability that can continue flowing back into the wider sailing community for years to come.

Supporting Oliver Pabbruwe’s involvement in the Denmark campaign is an investment not only in three individual sailors, but in the continued growth of high-quality youth coaching and athlete development within WA sailing.

Campaigns like Denmark help strengthen the experience, leadership and coaching capability required to continue developing future generations of competitive WA sailors.

Jasper Stay heads to Denmark as the current Australian ILCA 6 Under 19 National Champion. Thomas Cooper enters the ILCA 6 fleet after winning the Australian ILCA 4 National Championship, while Hugh Healy recently recorded a top-five finish at the national championships.

Funds raised through this campaign will primarily support the international coaching component of the Denmark Worlds campaign, helping ensure the sailors can compete within a strong, structured and professionally supported team environment.

The Denmark campaign reflects the value of strong coaching, collaboration and long-term athlete development within WA sailing.
