ABOUT Oscar Wootton

Robina, QLD

My unwavering goal is to become a professional triathlete and represent Australia on the biggest stage at the 2032 Olympics. To make this dream a reality, I've moved from Ballarat, Victoria, to the Gold Coast to train with Aus Triathlon while pursuing a full-time Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Griffith University. Dedicating 20–30 hours a week to high-level training, alongside a demanding academic schedule, creates a significant financial strain. While I try to fit in casual support work shifts, this balancing act makes covering the essential costs of independent living away from family such as rent, food, and vital sporting equipment extremely difficult.

I have a profound commitment to the sport of triathlon as it has shaped who I am, disciplined, resilient, and determined.

Relocating to pursue my triathlon dreams has been challenging, but it has powerfully fuelled my hunger to strive for greatness. This commitment translated into international success: I placed 9th in my first Junior Elite World Championships and followed that up by securing 3rd place in the U23 Mixed Team Relay World Championships. These results prove my potential to compete on the world stage.

Funds raised will be directly invested in maintaining this trajectory toward elite performance. Specifically, support will cover essential costs, living expenses, critical training requirements, and travel to international races.

With your financial partnership, I can fully dedicate myself to continuing my studies, training at the level required to represent Australia, and seizing every opportunity to compete and gain experience internationally.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Your belief in my potential is more than support, it is a lasting investment in the greatness I am determined to achieve for myself and for Australia in 2032.
