What began as Gregory Myers’ rehab for an acquired brain injury is now his passion. And his mission.

Gregory took up sailing in January 2024, after his injury left him with significant right-side weakness, without the use of his dominant right hand, and unable to work in his lifelong job as a fine artist and illustrator.

Just over two years later, Gregory is the 2026 Australian Hansa 303 (single) Champion, the 2025 Australian Para Sailing Champion in that category, and has achieved 8th in the world in one-person Para men’s category.

Now, Gregory is racing to bring sailing back to the Paralympics for Australia’s home Games.
