ABOUT Parramatta Goannas Australian Football Club Inc.
The Parramatta Goannas Australian Football Club is in serious financial trouble, having accumulated very substantial debts—down from a strong financial reserve just two years ago.
A new committee was elected in February, 2025 and has inherited a massive burden of unpaid debts to a variety of creditors which has left the club struggling for survival.
Despite strong performances this year from our 150 male and female players and a proud 47-year legacy, our ability to serve the community, promote fitness, and support young athletes is under threat.
The club is working hard to fix past issues, restore governance, and rebuild our financial base. Returning Goannas stalwarts Justin Cunneen (President), Peter Taylor (Treasurer), Bob Mannion, Clive Sharp, and Ken Gray have joined younger members to manage the 2025 season, pursue sponsorships, fundraise and plan for a sustainable future.
But we urgently need your support. Donations will help cover immediate expenses—league fees, physiotherapy, uniforms, and operational costs—and prevent insolvency.
Please give what you can to help us save the mighty Goannas. Every donation makes a difference.
The Australian Sports Foundation is administering the campaign and donations are fully tax deductible.
