The Paramatta Lions JAFC is a junior Australian Rules Football Club competing in the western and north-western region of Sydney as far west as Penrith and into the north as

far as Kellyville and the Hawkesbury.

The Lions is a not for profit organisation run by a passionate and committed team of volunteers who strive to create a safe, welcoming and affordable environment for our families and their children to enjoy the fun and excitement of playing AFL football in an

affordable way that allows the opportunity for participation where many families are struggling to afford the high registration and participation costs of other junior sports.

The Lions strive to create an environment that is welcoming and supportive of all people, regardless of their background, skill, experience or disability.

We acknowledge and respect the traditional owners of the lands on which we live, train and play – as such we have incorporated a specially created piece of indigenous art created for the Lions as part of our club branding including our plyers guernseys, training shirts, marquees and online content.

As a club, the Lions take great pride in its club and culture which draws its community from the diverse range of cultures that makes western Sydney so special and unique.

This includes the commencement in 2026 of a kickability program at the Parramatta Lions.

The AFL Kickability program is for young people aged 5-16, who identify living with disability, or may need some additional support playing Australian football.

For some children, playing at a local football club may be a little daunting - Kickability is here to help. The program is aimed to provide families with the comfort that their child can play footy, however they like.

The Lions have built and enjoy strong relationships in our local community as well as with our key partners at AFL NSW and the GWS Giants.

To meet our objectives as a club and to allow the club to remain financially viable in the face of rising ground hire fees and other cost of living pressures, we are seeking to work with like minded local businesses and organisations that want to help local kids enjoy the experience of playing footy with their mates.
