ABOUT Pony Club Victoria
Our Story
Pony Club Victoria is the peak body for youth equestrian sport in Victoria — a community built by families, volunteers and riders who believe in what pony club stands for: teaching young people to care for and ride horses while building resilience, responsibility and lifelong friendships along the way.
Today, PCV supports more than 170 affiliated clubs across 10 zones and over 5,000 members throughout the state. From weekend rallies at the local club to state and national championships, we provide a pathway for riders of every age and skill level — many of whom start as young as five or six, learning the basics of horsemanship long before they ever compete.
What makes pony club different is its foundation in volunteerism and community. Behind every rider is a network of parents, coaches and club committees giving their time so the next generation can experience the discipline, joy and camaraderie that come from working with horses. It's this grassroots spirit that has kept pony club alive and thriving across generations of Victorian families.
Whether a rider is competing in dressage, showjumping, mounted games, or simply learning to groom and care for their first pony, PCV is there to support their journey — because we believe every young Victorian deserves the chance to discover what horses can teach them.
