Hi all, I am very excited to announce that I will be heading to Oregon in August to coach and support Xavier Leauma at the U20 World Junior Athletics Championships!

Xavier and I have worked extremely hard over a period of 6 years in honing his craft of Hammer Throw. From his first hammer session with Coach Rach (myself), to his first ever National Medal as an U20, Xavier has gone from stride to stride and improved out of sight. He has a really great chance of making the Top 8 at the event, which would be an incredible achievement for not only Tasmania, but for Australia as well. This event is a major step in his career towards hopefully a long and fulfilling career as a Track & Field athlete.

Unfortunately for both Xavier and I, the trip itself is not free or subsidised. I am raising funds to assist getting Xavier and myself to Oregon. His events are scheduled for August 5th (qualifying round) and 7th (finals).

Any assistance is greatly appreciated, I and many others look forward to seeing Xav and I in the Green and Gold!
