RAPS (Redland Amateur Platform and Springboard) Diving Club is a volunteer-run community club based in the Redlands, Queensland. Our club supports divers at every stage of their journey — from those learning to dive for the first time through to athletes with state, national, and international aspirations.

We are raising funds to help grow our club, strengthen our community, and better support our athletes and families both in and out of the pool. At the heart of RAPS is a strong focus on inclusion, connection, and participation. We care deeply about creating a club where people feel welcome, supported, and proud to belong.

Diving is a physically and mentally demanding sport, and we believe athletes benefit most when support goes beyond training alone. Our aim is to help divers build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of team, while fostering a positive and supportive club culture.

Funds raised will allow us to run come-and-try sessions, helping introduce new participants to diving and reduce barriers to entry. We also plan to support club uniforms, including chlorine-resistant training swimwear, to help athletes feel part of a team and build a shared club identity.

In addition, we would love to host athlete development days. By bringing in guest speakers such as nutritionists, physiotherapists, and resilience coaches, we can support physical wellbeing, mental strength, and long-term athlete development. These opportunities help our divers grow not just as athletes, but as confident and capable individuals.

Through these initiatives, RAPS aims to grow participation, strengthen club culture, and ensure our athletes and families feel supported and connected at every stage of their diving journey.
