ABOUT Remi Young
I have been playing squash since the age of 6, and have not been able to put a racquet down since! I love the competitive environment and especially the community around the sport. This led me to wanting to pursue a professional career in the sport after I finished my university studies. I have been travelling on the tour for about a year and a half, and have a highest world ranking of 230.
Due to the high costs of the tour - flights, accommodation, equipment, coaching, etc., it becomes increasingly challenging to follow my squash dream without external financial help.
I have been doing a lot of work with WA squash to help promote the sport to the next generation. I have aided talent and state camps, as well as going to schools and events to set up the inflatable courts and engage with new kids looking to try the best sport in the world!
Sadly, this work, alongside working at the squash centres, cannot cover all costs associated with professional squash. I will also be moving to Amsterdam to further my squash, which will increase financial pressure further.
Thank you for considering to help me on my journey. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
