FROM AUSTRALIA TO THE USA 🇦🇺🇺🇸
For as long as I can remember, sport has been a huge part of my life. What started as a passion for cheerleading has grown into years of training, competing and pushing myself to become the best athlete I can be.I’m now incredibly excited to share the next chapter of my journey: I have the opportunity to move from Australia to the United States to study at Westcliff University and compete as an NCAA Division I college athlete in the Advanced Large Coed Open division. This is an opportunity I never want to take for granted.I have spent years competing in All Star cheerleading across Australia, progressing through the levels and competing at state, national and international events. Along the way, I have been fortunate enough to experience some incredible achievements, including winning Australian and international titles and representing Australia in cheerleading. Now, I have the chance to take everything I have learned as an Australian athlete and continue developing at the collegiate level in the United States.
🇺🇸 The Next Chapter
Moving to the USA is a huge step — not only athletically, but personally. I will be relocating to the other side of the world, continuing my education and adapting to a completely new environment while training and competing at the NCAA Division I level. While my cheerleading training, competition program and uniforms at Westcliff are covered, taking up this opportunity still comes with significant costs associated with international travel and relocating overseas. My fundraising goal will help support the travel and other eligible sporting expenses involved in making this opportunity possible, including getting myself to the USA, relocating, and beginning this next chapter as an Australian college athlete.Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a genuine difference.Whether you are able to contribute $10, $50, $100 or simply share my campaign with someone who might be interested in supporting my journey, I would be incredibly grateful.
🌎 A New Opportunity: The Cheerleading Worlds
Since sharing my journey to the USA, another incredible opportunity has come my way.I have recently been offered a place on an International Open Level 7 All Girl Non-Tumbling team in Orange County, California, giving me the opportunity to compete at The Cheerleading Worlds. The Cheerleading Worlds has been a personal bucket-list dream of mine for years. I have watched athletes compete on that stage and dreamed about one day being able to stand on that floor myself. To now have the opportunity to potentially make that dream a reality is something I am incredibly excited about. What makes this opportunity even more special is that I could potentially pursue both of my biggest competitive goals in the USA — competing in NCAA Division I Advanced Large Coed Open with Westcliff University and working towards the NCAA National Championships, while also competing at The Cheerleading Worlds with an International Open Level 7 All Girl Non-Tumbling team. These opportunities would allow me to experience two very different sides of American cheerleading, challenge myself in new ways and continue developing as an athlete.Of course, adding a Worlds team to my journey also comes with additional expenses, including team fees, competition costs, travel, accommodation and the costs associated with travelling to Orlando for The Cheerleading Worlds.Being able to chase this dream alongside my collegiate journey would mean so much to me, and I would love to make the most of the opportunity if I am able to.
🩷 Why this means so much to me
For me, this isn't just about moving overseas to compete. It is the opportunity to continue pursuing something I have dedicated years of my life to, while studying and developing as an athlete in one of the world's biggest collegiate sporting environments.I hope to take everything I have learned through Australian cheerleading with me to the USA, continue growing as an athlete and make the people who have supported me throughout my journey proud.I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped me get to this point — my coaches, teammates, friends and family — and to anyone who chooses to be part of this next chapter.Thank you for believing in me and helping me chase these opportunities. ❤️ From Australia to the USA — here's to the next chapter. 🇦🇺✈️🇺🇸
