    ABOUT Rockingham Outrigger Canoe Club

    Rockingham, WA

The Rockingham Outrigger Canoe Club proudly represents the Rockingham community and the WA coast in local, national and international outrigger canoe competitions; fielding teams across juniors, open and masters divisions.

But our purpose goes far beyond racing results.

We are a club with a strong voice in our community, committed to using the sport of outrigger canoeing - known globally as waka ama, va’a or outrigger canoeing - to create lasting impact. We support the development, wellbeing and aspirations of people of all ages. Through training programs, clinics and cultural initiatives, we provide opportunities for those who dream of paddling at the highest levels while connecting with the ocean and polynesian heritage.

    Our Vision and Purpose

Guided by our club values, our vision is to foster a thriving outrigger canoeing community that honours polynesian culture, encourages personal growth and inspires paddlers across Rockingham and beyond. Our mission is to develop not only skilled athletes but outstanding individuals, grounded in teamwork, resilience and respect for the ocean.

We believe in the transformative power of paddling to build stronger communities. By supporting ROCC, you are investing in a brighter future for our region: healthy, active young people, empowered communities and inclusive opportunities to connect with the ocean and polynesian traditions.
