Hi,

My name is Rowan Burke, and I live in Nelson Bay, NSW. I attend Year 10 at St Philip's Christian College Port Stephens and currently play as a defender for Lake Macquarie City FC U15s in the NNSW Youth Premier League Division 1. Most of my teammates know me by my nickname, "Wombat."

I have been passionate about football since I was 4 years old and have played every season since. Throughout my football journey, I have represented Nelson Bay FC, Wallsend FC, Edgeworth FC, and now Lake Macquarie City FC.

I am excited and honoured to have been selected by CityRoos Football Academy NSW to represent Australia in the Algarve Elite Cup in Portugal in November 2026. This is a prestigious international tournament, and CityRoos has been invited as the only Australian team to compete in the U15 competition.

You can learn more about the tournament here: https://footballalgarve.com/

This opportunity will allow me to test my skills against talented players from tops academys in Europe, gain valuable international experience, and continue developing as both a footballer and a person.

To make this dream a reality, I am seeking sponsorship and financial support to help cover my travel & insurance costs of approximately AUD $3,000. The total cost of the tour, including flights, accommodation, meals, insurance, and tournament expenses, is approximately AUD $9,500.

Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will help me represent CityRoos Academy on an international stage.

Thank you for your support and for helping me pursue this incredible opportunity.

Kind regards,

Rowan "Wombat" Burke
