The sport of athletics provides opportunities for all, no matter their age, ability or experience. The fundamentals movement skills of running, jumping and throwing cross over into so many other sports. We keep our registration fees as low as we can to provide a sport all can participate in, while still being able to purchase new equipment, pay regular cost like electricity, and ground hire fees. Donations through the ASF will assist us in buying equipment, providing support to our members travelling to interstate competitions and to assist our coaches and officials with costs to upgrade their qualifications.

Your support in 2026 will focus on travel expenses including hiring a bus to take RAC athletes and families across to the North Queensland Championships in September. These championships are a great opportunity for athletes who may not be currently at the level to be selected in an NT team to experience competing away from home and against different athletes. With the cost of flights already expensive without the current fuel supply issues, this will provide a more affordable option to families who may not be able to go otherwise.
