ABOUT Ryan Littlechild
Ryan Littlechild has dedicated his life to the sport of sailing, building an impressive career through hard work, determination, and a passion for excellence on the water.
Beginning in the Optimist class, Ryan quickly established himself as one of Australia's brightest young sailors, earning major youth results and recognition at state and national level. He progressed through the 420 and 49er classes before finding his niche in the highly competitive International Moth fleet—one of the fastest and most technically demanding classes in sailing.
Ryan has gone on to compete against the world's best foiling sailors, finishing 4th at the 2025 International Moth World Championship on Lake Garda and 2nd at the 2026 European Championship, where he also claimed the Youth title. These results have established him as one of the world's leading young foiling sailors.
Alongside his Moth campaign, Ryan is proud to be a sailor with GB1, representing Great Britain in elite foiling competition while continuing to develop his skills alongside some of the sport's best athletes. He has also been selected as part of Athena Pathway Program, Great Britain's Women and Youth America's Cup programme, contributing to the team's development in the AC40 class on the pathway toward the 38th America's Cup.
Ryan's journey has always been driven by commitment, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of improvement. Every achievement has come through years of dedication, countless hours of training, and the support of family, coaches, teammates, and the sailing community.
