Hi, my name is Rebecca Wooster, and I'm the proud mum of Rylan, an 11-year-old student from Buderim Mountain State School with an incredible passion and talent for both athletics and AFL.

Over the past 12 months, Rylan has achieved extraordinary success across multiple sports. He is a four-time national athletics champion, winning gold at both the School Sport Australia National Cross Country Championships and the Athletics Australia National Cross Country Championships, as well as gold in the 800m and 1500m at the School Sport Australia National Track and Field Championships.

At the Queensland State Little Athletics Championships, Rylan won the 400m, 800m and 1500m, breaking the Queensland record in the 400m and Australian records in both the 800m and 1500m events. His achievements also earned him recognition as a finalist in the Sunshine Coast Sports Awards – Athlete of the Year (Next Gen).

More recently, Rylan won the Sunshine Coast Regional 11 Years Cross Country Championship and qualified for the Queensland State Cross Country Championships. He then travelled to Cairns to compete at the Queensland AFL State Championships, where his team won gold and he was selected in the Queensland AFL Team to compete at the National Under 12 AFL Championships in Canberra.

In the past 12 months, Rylan has earned four national-level qualifications across athletics, cross country and AFL, an achievement that reflects his dedication, resilience and love of sport.

While we are incredibly proud of what he has achieved, the costs associated with training, travel, accommodation, uniforms and competition fees are significant. Our family has already invested many thousands of dollars supporting Rylan's sporting journey, and we continue to do everything we can to help him take advantage of these opportunities.

Every donation will go directly towards helping Rylan represent Queensland with pride and continue pursuing his dreams on the national stage.
