ABOUT Samantha Clifton
I was just seven when a friend asked me to fill in for a recreational bowling team. I didn’t know it then, but that casual invitation would ignite a passion that would shape my life. The lanes at Dullboy’s Social Co in Warners Bay became my second home, and the sound of crashing pins—my heartbeat.
At 14, I made history: the youngest Australian female to bowl a perfect 300. I have done it two times since, with my first at SuperStrike Warners Bay in August 2019. My story isn’t just about numbers—it’s about grit, growth, and the pursuit of excellence.
From soccer fields to state championships, my competitive spirit never wavered. I climbed the ranks with precision and poise, earning top spots in the NSW Youth and Adult Masters, dominating national tournaments like the QLD Youth Cup and TBA 21 Masters, and representing Australia in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, and Sweden. In 2025, I struck gold at the IBF Youth World Cup and placed in the top 16 at the Adult World Cup—proof that my talent transcends age and borders.
My league average sits at a formidable 208, and my highest 4-game series? A staggering 1036. But behind the stats is a humble person with dreams of joining the Professional Bowlers Association.
My journey through the TBA National Training Squad from 2021 to 2025, and my standout performance at the 2024 Trials, where I averaged 223.6 on the long oil pattern, made other realise my true talents.
I have received countless awards—from Junior Bowler of the Year to the Commonwealth Games NSW Athlete Grant—and my story has been featured in national recaps and tournament highlights. If you were to ask me what drives me, I'll tell you: it’s the thrill of the game, the discipline of the sport, and the joy of representing my country.
