ABOUT Samuel Greatorex

Hi, my name is Samuel, and I’ve been selected to represent Australia in swimming at the Deaflympics 2025 in Tokyo!

It’s a huge honour to wear the green and gold again — something I haven’t done since 2015 — but this time, it’s even more meaningful. Despite competing internationally before, I’ve never had the chance to represent Australia at the Deaflympics, and now, that dream is finally within reach. The Deaflympics is more than just a sporting event. It’s a celebration of Deaf culture, resilience, and excellence — and it gives athletes like me the chance to compete on a world stage with pride.

But getting there comes with significant costs — and that’s where I need your support.

I’m fundraising $3,000 to help cover essential expenses such as:

  • Intensive training fees
  • Swimming equipment and racing bathers
  • Travel and accommodation to and from Japan
  • Team uniforms and competition-related costs

The total cost is estimated at $8,000, and I’m doing everything I can to make this happen — but any amount you can contribute will go a long way in helping me reach Tokyo.

If you believe in dreams, in hard work, and in breaking barriers — please consider supporting my Deaflympics journey. Every donation, big or small, brings me one step closer to the starting blocks in Tokyo.

Thank you so much for your time, belief, and generosity.

With gratitude,

Samuel Greatorex
