Hello!!

I’m Sara, a passionate and driven female youth sailor currently in the ILCA 6 class, the Olympic Women’s singlehanded dinghy. 

This spring, I will be competing for Australia at the 2025 ILCA 6 Youth World Championships in Los Angeles, USA, 28 July - 4 August.  Official link 2025 ILCA 6 Youth USA – ILCA Worlds website

The ILCA6 Youth Worlds is the kick off for my international campaign. I’m determined to pursue the highest quality racing across the world to raise the standard of my sailing and bring this back to my domestic training partners to improve together and achieve for Australia.

Your tax deductible donation would greatly help to meet the significant self funded costs of preparation and participation in this event, ongoing development and equipment, 2026 AUS Nationals in TAS, and future World Cup and World Championship events with the goal of Olympic podium. 

Off the water, I’m in my first year of tertiary studies completing a Bachelor of Engineering part-time at the University of Technology, Sydney. I strive to be a role model for young aspiring girls in Sailing and recently became a Youth Subcommittee Member at my home club, Double Bay Sailing Club. Over the past couple years, DB committee along with a bunch of developing youth sailors (including myself) have fostered a supportive youth environment on and off the water such that the club’s youth now make up a total of 30% of the racing members at the largest specialist ILCA club in the world. I’m very proud of what has been accomplished so far and will continue to work hard toward these goals.

• 2024 Oceania & Australian ILCA6 Championships: Female Champion Youth/U19 and 4th Female Open
• 2023 Oceania & Australian ILCA4 Championships: Female Champion Youth/U19 and Open
