We are Jessica and Sara, two sisters with a shared dream to represent Australia together in the Women's National Floorball Team.

Floorball is a fast, exciting sport, but unlike many other national sports, there is no funding for athletes. Each player must cover all costs themselves; the cost is around $8000 each. This includes travel, accommodation, uniforms, coaching, staff and tournament fees.

For Jessi, this is an especially emotional journey. She has represented Australia many times before but had to step back due to the costs of participation and raising a family. When Sara told her she was going to trial for the team, Jessi knew she had to try one more time, even at the age of 40.

For Sara, this is also an emotional journey. Sara also struggles with the cost of raising a family with three beautiful children and finishing a nursing degree. She has had several injuries, including four left knee surgeries. This is an opportunity to show that no matter how many obstacles come your way, as long as you don't give up and keep believing in yourself, anything is possible, even the dream of making a national team and playing alongside your childhood idol.

Together, we both made the team. The chance to play alongside each other, representing our country on the world stage, is something we have always dreamed of. Now, that dream is only months away. But we need help to get there.
