We are a community Taekwon-Do club called Il Shim International Taekwon-Do, run by volunteers who teach students from 3yrs through to 60+yrs.

In order to offer & continue our wonderful community oriented sport, we rely solely on our minimal fees to cover most associated costs.

Two of our young female students, sisters, Savannah & Mackenzie Farrell (14 & 13yrs respectively) from Stawell, Victoria, have been selected out of thousands around our great country to represent Australia in a forthcoming International Taekwon-Do Tournament in Suzhou, China 14-15th August, 2026.

Given this monumental & exciting opportunity for these girls, we are commencing fundraising initiatives to help with the associated high costs getting these dedicated athletes overseas. 

They will travel with the Australian ITF Taekwon-Do Team to Suzhou & compete for their county on the world stage.

Both girls have spent several years training at the renowned Il Shim International Taekwon-Do school in Stawell, under the guidance of Chris Sirre & his team.

They have risen through the ranks embodying the spirit of Taekwon-Do with Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.

To date they have competed in many Statewide & National Taekwon-Do Tournaments winning Gold, Silver & Bronze medals in multiple disciplines.

Most recent was the inaugural General Choi Cup in NSW with competitors from around the nation & overseas, they collectively secured eight medals between them.

In Suzhou, they will compete in Full Contact Sparring, Individual Patterns & Special Techniques, showcasing their skills against other likeminded competitors from around the world.

A truly momentous occasion for them, their club, small regional town & Australia where they will be able to develop their Taekwon-Do further, have the most incredible life experience but importantly return with knowledge to inspire & share with others.

All proceeds raised will pay for Transport, National & International Flights, Team Accommodation, In-Country Travel, Team Uniforms & Equipment, Tournament Registration, Health Professionals & Insurance’s etc.
