Hi I'm Scarlett, I am 13 years old and have been diving for Victoria for 3 years. I train 6 days a week which is basically all my life aside from school. It takes up all my time and a lot of money but I love it. The adrenaline and challenge when I am spinning and twisting through the air is a big part of what I love about this sport. This past year has been especially tough on me with my coach being involved in a serious accident causing me to have to switch to a different squad. In March I got a concussion learning a new dive and had to stop diving for 6 weeks and when I finally could dive again I had to modify my training for almost another month. Many people including my coach didn't expect me to qualify so I worked as hard as humanly possible to prove them wrong and I did. I have qualified for the 2025 Australian Elite Junior Diving Championships in Perth on the 1 and 3 metre springboards. I would love to go so all my hard work gets rewarded.
