ABOUT Scott Cummins
I’m Scott, fundraising for our mixed doubles campaign with Kristy. We’re proudly representing Australia on the world stage, and as the HYROX Bangkok 2025 champions and consistent podium finishers, we have qualified for the 2026 HYROX World Championships in Stockholm on 21 June 2026 (our third consecutive Worlds).
Our track record and performance
- 1st place – HYROX Bangkok (Mixed Doubles Champions, May 2025)
- 3rd place – HYROX Asia Championships (Mixed Doubles, November 2024)
- Top three finishes in four of our seven mixed doubles races together (2023–2025)
- Consistent improvement: race time progress from 1:06:26 (Sydney 2023 debut) to 57:07 (Bangkok 2025 win). Target for Stockholm: ~55:30, reflecting the performance standard required to contend at World Championships level
Preparing for Stockholm 2026
We are currently in a focused 8-week high-performance training block leading up to the World Championships, with an elite coach guiding us. Our preparation targets all aspects of HYROX’s all-round demands:
- Strength and endurance: building power for sled pushes, lunges, burpees, wall balls and an 8 km run
- Speed (key focus): aiming to cut 8–10 seconds per run segment to reach our ~55:30 goal
- Recovery and resilience: structured recovery routines and injury-prevention work to ensure we arrive in top form
Our goal is not just to participate, but to compete strongly on the day. We’re fully committed to delivering our best performance yet in Stockholm.
Where your support will help
HYROX is entirely self-funded, with all training and competition expenses paid out-of-pocket. Your support will go directly to the practical inputs that allow us to train consistently, recover well and arrive in Stockholm ready to perform.
Your support helps cover:
- Training facilities and recovery access (gym memberships, recovery centre sessions)
- Coaching and high-performance programming
- Nutrition and supplements to fuel twice-daily training
- World Championships costs: return flights, accommodation in Stockholm, race entry fees and local transport
- Time away from work to compete (unpaid leave during the competition period)
Fundraising target: We’re aiming to raise $13,500 towards our World Championships campaign. Every contribution makes a real difference.
Cost snapshot (rough):
- Travel and race-week costs: ~$8,800
- Return flights: $4,500
- Accommodation: $2,100
