ABOUT Shanika Ah Matt-Lovett
Hi, I'm Shanika and I live with Kabuki Syndrome. Cheerleading is my passion, and next year I've been selected to represent Australia at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando.
Earlier this year, I competed in the first ever Adaptive Abilities Team Australia, and we became World Champions - the first Australian dance team to do so!!!! I've now been chosen for the first ever Special Abilities Cheer Team Australia, and I'm so proud to wear the Green and Gold again.
Travelling to World's is expensive, especially as I need to bring a support person with me, so I'm fundraising to help cover the costs of flights, accommodation, training and competition fees.
I was also asked to design the artwork for Team Australia's uniform, which was a huge honour and something I'm very proud of.
Any support - big or small - will help me get to Orlando to represent my country again. Thank you so much for your kindness, belief in me and support to make this dream possible.
