🏀 Shellharbour Bulls: Building Our Future, One Court at a Time

The Shellharbour Bulls are on a mission to create a dedicated basketball facility that will serve as a cornerstone for our community's growth and sporting aspirations. As the first basketball association in the Shellharbour LGA, officially affiliated with Basketball NSW, we are committed to providing opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels.

Why We Need Our Own Facility

Currently, our athletes train and compete at Shellharbour City Stadium, a multipurpose venue that, while valuable, has limited court space due to overwhelming demand. This constraint hampers our ability to expand programs, host larger tournaments, and accommodate the fastest growing sport in NSW, within our LGA. The demand for court time always exceeds availability, leading to scheduling challenges and limiting access for our players. By having our own dedicated basketball facility, we can ensure the needs of Shellharbour players are met on a regular basis.

Our Plan to Make It Happen

We are actively raising funds to fit out or construct our own basketball facility. This initiative will involve:

• Community Engagement: Organising fundraising events within our association and the wider community, increasing sponsorships, and collaborating with local businesses and organisations to garner support.
• Grant Applications: Applying for government and sporting grants to secure financial backing for the project.
• Volunteer Support: Mobilising our members and supporters to contribute time and skills to the project's development.

Who We Are

The Shellharbour Bulls are a passionate and dedicated group of athletes, coaches, and community members. Under the leadership of President Adam Woodward, who worked tirelessly for two years to establish the association, with our Executive Board, we have built a strong foundation, a welcoming community and an extraordinary family! Our association offers a comprehensive development program, including coaching, referee training, and pathways to representative basketball.
