My name is Lucas Yang. To many, baseball is a game of hits and catches, but for me, it is a testament to what hard work and discipline can achieve.

I began my journey on the red dust fields of Taiwan, where I underwent five years of elite, high-intensity training. These years instilled in me a foundational truth: talent is only the starting point. To truly excel, one must embrace the grind that happens when no one is watching.

Discipline in Every Step

I believe that a pitcher’s strength is built from the ground up. This is why I embrace training that many find tedious, including regular 10-kilometer runs to build the stamina required for the mound. This commitment to physical excellence recently led me to be selected to represent my school in Cross Country competitions. Whether I am navigating a cross-country trail or standing on the pitcher’s mound, my focus remains the same—pushing my limits to achieve excellence.

A New Chapter in Australia

Since moving to Melbourne less than a year ago, I have focused all my energy on adapting to this new environment. I am honored to have earned a spot on the Victorian State Representative team so soon after arriving. This achievement is a dream come true, but it is also a reminder of the path ahead.
