The Snow Australia Community Facility and Engagement Program has two key objectives:<ol><li>Improving the quality and access for local communities at Snow Australia facilities.</li><li>Providing opportunities to increase social inclusion in snowsports.</li></ol>Snow Australia operates several facilities in regional areas of Victorian and NSW and aims to provide the local communities access to high quality snowsport training and community facilities. These facilities include the National Snowsport Training Centre (NSTC) in Jindabyne, the Nordic Shelter in Perisher (winter months only) and the Water Jump Park in Lilydale.The Community Facility Program aims to fund upgrades and enhancements to ensure these facilities continue to service the local communities while also investing in improvements to increase capacity enabling more services, programs and access for members of the community.With funds raised, Snow Australia can:<ul><li>Service and support local school groups accessing the facilities including providing after school programs for local children.</li><li>Building additional infrastructure and features, such as a rail line and dry slope, to increase capacity and allow more members of the community to use the facility at the same time.</li><li>Develop facilities that improve the experience and access specifically for women and girls </li><li>Provide subsidised access to the facilities for families and the youth of the local community</li><li>Upskill staff to better service the diverse members of the community and provide inclusive programming.</li><li>Ensure the facilities are maintained and operating at full capacity.</li></ul>The Snow Australia Community Engagement Program (CEP) seeks to provide opportunities for a broader diversity of users to improve physical and mental health and social inclusion through increased engagement and participation in snowsport activity. These opportunities are provided through a number of Snow Australia programs and activities including:<ul><li>Women of Winter</li><li>Para Development and Talent Identification</li><li>Multi-Class events and engagement</li><li>Indigenous events and engagement</li><li>Youth activity and engagement in regional areas</li></ul>In addition to the activities listed above Snow Australia seeks to:<ul><li>Provide professional development of staff and the community members through the Snow Academy and Coach Academy to better service the diverse snowsport community groups.</li><li>Increase the scope of the Futures program to include year-round activity engaging athletes and coaches to inspire and educate local community youth.</li></ul>
