    Softball Australia is the governing body for softball in Australia, dedicated to promoting the sport from grassroots to elite levels. The organisation supports players, coaches, and officials, while fostering a vibrant community nationwide.


    Softball Australia oversees national teams and competitions, providing opportunities for athletes to compete at the highest levels. They focus on grassroots development, encouraging healthy, active lifestyles and nurturing the next generation of stars with an emphasis on inclusivity, excellence, and teamwork.


    Recent achievements highlight Australia’s global success. The Aussie Spirit, the Australian Women's National Softball Team, recently competed in the 2024 WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup and are preparing for the 2028 LA Olympics. The team has medalled in 4 out of 5 Olympics where softball was included.


    The Aussie Steelers, Australia’s Men’s National Softball Team, are the reigning WBSC Softball World Cup Champions and are preparing to defend their title at the 2025 WBSC Men's Softball World Cup in Canada this July.


    In 2025, Australia will also see the U-15 Women’s National Team compete at the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup in Italy, the U-18 Men’s Team compete in New Zealand, and the U-23 Men’s Team compete in the WBSC Men’s Softball Oceania Qualification Tournament in New Zealand this April.


    Softball Australia is committed to creating pathways for athletes to reach their full potential, aiming for continued success on the world stage while growing participation across the country.
