Hi, I’m Sophia Soderberg, an Australian volleyball player currently training at Palm Beach State College in Florida, USA. Volleyball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it has shaped who I am both on and off the court. Through this sport, I have had the chance to travel, grow, and compete at high levels, all while chasing my dream of representing Australia as part of the Volleyroos at the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

I am currently raising funds to support my return to Australia to compete in the Oceania Qualifying Tournament. This event is crucial for qualification for the 2026 Asian Championships. Even though I was not planning to travel home this December, I knew I could not pass up such an important opportunity to continue my national team journey.

Living and training overseas as a full time student athlete is incredibly demanding, both physically and financially. Competing at this level is largely self-funded, and expenses such as international flights and accommodation add up very quickly. Any support I receive will go straight toward helping me take part in this tournament and represent Australia to the best of my ability. Furthermore, volleyball has given me so much, and wearing the green and gold is something I work toward every single day. Your support would mean more than just financial help. It would allow me to keep growing as an athlete, gain valuable international experience, and take meaningful steps closer to my Olympic dream.
